Bandai Namco have brought their plans for this year’s Gamescom to light, in an effort to interest as many visitors as possible to come and check out their booth.
Naturally, there’ll be a world premiere of Dark Souls 3, and the press as well as the civilians (ha) will be able to check the game out and may well play it should the stars align. From what little we know of the game, we can tell that From Software will be taking a more methodical approach to combat; one that’s akin to what we’ve had the chance to witness from Bloodborne. There’s been mention of something called the ‘ready stance’ – a feature that’s supposed to work similarly to aforementioned game’s weapon modify mechanic. Player characters are also going to be more agile, with a more immediate and responsive moveset to boot. The game is bound to release on XBOne, PS4 and, of course, our beloved PC. Aside from Dark Souls 3, Bandai Namco will also feature Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 for the contemporary generation of consoles, which naturally isn’t all that exciting. Regardless, it’s there for you guys to check out even though we know what the star of the show will be.
Herve Hoerdt, Vice President of IP Strategy, Marketing & PR at BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment commented on the given matter: “Gamescom is THE event you need to attend if you are a videogame fan or professional. As always, this is a great opportunity for BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Europe to make sure that we are perfectly aligned with our fans’ expectations and to unveil new details on some of the most-awaited games. All of our Manga and Anime fans will be delighted to discover brand new content for the future hit NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja STORM 4 and let’s not forget the players out there who are looking to get their hands on the next epic adventure with DARK SOULS III. We are looking forward to seeing you all at Gamescom soon!”
