The first thing to note is that Just Cause 3 requires a Windows operating system with a 64-bit processor in order to perform. In case you know or not, a 64-bit processor allows for more RAM utilization than a 34-bit. No matter what version of Windows you have, this is an applicable fact. For example, letâs say you had two separate PCs, one running on a 34-bit version of Windows 10, and the other running on a 64-bit version of Windows 7, the Windows 10 PC would be limited to capitalizing on 4GB or less of RAM, while the Windows 7 would be able to put to use 4GB or more even though it being an older version of the OS.
This technological requirement has been something of a trend with this generationâs iteration of the AAA game that seeks to take advantage of advancing hardware, as well as the current affordability of RAM, and is why most of these games recommend 8GB of RAM.
Another thing to note from above is the minimum GPU requirements. The studio claims that the AMD Radeon HD 7870 is necessary to run the game at lower settings, if not the lowest, while still achieving an acceptable frame rate. The 7870 is AMDâs GPU equivalent to the APUs that power the graphics processing in both the PS4 and Xbox One. With this knowledge, it is safe to say that the console versions of the game will most likely be running on low to mid settings, but I am sure once the game is released and multiple graphics tests and comparisons are made, more clarity on that subject will come into fruition.
Though it is safe to say that Just Cause 3 does not seem like it will be a CPU-intensive considering the minimum required specs there being the Intel i5 2500k at 3.4 GHz clock speed, and AMD Phenom II X6 1075T at just 3 GHz, both of which are nearly five year old CPUs to begin with.
Letâs be honest, whether youâre playing on PC, Xbox One, or PS4, I think we can all agree that next Tuesday canât come soon enough. Keep your eyes peeled to the Mouse N Joypad website for our imminent review of Just Cause 3 when it is released on those aforementioned platform on December 1, 2015.
