Have you recently invested in a copy of LEGO: Dimensions? If so, youâre either going to be extremely happy or entirely distressed with these news: thereâs going to be plenty of new âDLCâ available to buy.
Why would you be happy? Because thatâs new content for whatâs arguably an awesome game. Why would you be distressed? Because itâs likely to be somewhat pricey for what it is.
âWarner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced today the release of five, highly collectible LEGO Dimensions expansion packs based on Ghostbusters, DC Comics, Doctor Who, Back to the Future and LEGO Ninjago. Players can customise their building and gaming adventures in LEGO Dimensions with the purchase of these Wave 3 Level Pack, Team Pack and Fun Packs which provide additional gameplay, buildable characters, and rebuildable 3-in-1 vehicles and gadgets with special in-game abilities. All expansion packs provide gamers the opportunity to use everything interchangeably, anywhere throughout the game. Plus, any expansion pack character can unlock the corresponding Adventure World of the same brand to provide players with additional open-world gameplay content based on that entertainment property. â
Basically, Dimensions is going to be getting quite a lot of content altogether, but it remains to be seen just how much each particular pack brings. If youâre interested in Ghostbusters, youâll be able to get a mission-based level where youâll have to fight the legendary Gozer and save New York from its menace.
âThe pack comes with a buildable Peter Venkman LEGO minifigure and Proton Pack, Ecto-1 and Ghost Trap â all playable in the game.â
Of course, all of this will be usable in any other content you may engage. Other packs include the Joker and Harley Quinn, a Cyberman and a Dalek, Doc Brown or some of the less well-known characters of LEGO Ninjago. Naturally, all of these characters come bundled with their appropriate gadgetry and whatnot.
