ARK: Survival Evolved Coming To Xbox One | MOUSE n JOYPAD

Big news for all you ARK: Survival Evolved fans out there. Independent developer, Studio Wildcard, has just announced that their game will be available to Xbox One players starting December 16. Xbox One gamers will be able to jump right into the open-world, action-adventure, survival game and start training their dinosaur army.

The Xbox One version of ARK will have all the content currently available in the PC build, with nearly three times the amount of gameplay than what was originally available at launch. The game will include exclusive content as well, including a bionic Tek T-Rex, Safari Hat, Survivor’s Tropy, free access to Xbox-specific ARK official servers, and a steady stream of additional content prior to the full release in June 2016.

ARK: Survival Evolved has been a major success for Wildcard, boasting more than 2.5 million players since its debut on Steam’s Early Access Program in June. Co-creative director and co-founder of Studio Wildcard, Jesse Rapczak, expressed his excitement for the game’s upcoming release on Xbox One, as well as his appreciation for Steam’s Early Access program that helped refine ARK to what it is now:

“ARK is running beautifully on Xbox One, we’re really proud to deliver the first open-world online survival experience on console, a genre that is typically found only in PC games. Steam’s Early Access has given us a strong method to quickly iterate on player feedback, creating a strong relationship with our fans that constantly makes the game more fun. With Microsoft implementing a similar program, we’re able to form a direct connection between console players and our team, the likes of which has never before been possible.”

In ARK: Survival Evolved, you find yourself stranded, naked, and starving in a mysterious land where you must do whatever it takes to survive. You’ll be able to tame a multitude of dinosaurs and other prehistoric beasts, and use them in various ways. There’ll be more than 50 creatures available in the Xbox One preview launch, and more than 100 in the full release. You’ll also be able to team up with other players by starting or joining a tribe to compete with other tribes, craft weapons and other useful items and structures, and explore a massive world with a living ecosystem.

You can download a copy of ARK: Survival Evolved for $34.99 with Xbox Game Preview on Xbox One tomorrow. In the meantime, you can check out the ARK Xbox One trailer below.
