Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate E3 Trailer

Ubisoft has revealed a little more about the next game in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate. It was revealed during an Ubisoft livestream last month will be a product of Ubisoft Quebec. The game’s existence has been known in some form since last year when leaked documents mistakenly pegged the game as Assassin’s Creed: Victory.

No further details were given on the upcoming title that wasn’t mentioned during its initial reveal, save a fancy new cinematic story trailer. Jacob Frye, present in cosplay during Ubisoft’s E3 press conference, is the protagonist who leads the assassins in the war against the Templars. Set in 1868, in the great city of London, Assassin’s Creed continues with a few new introductions to the series such as mounted combat, new weapons and a simplified traversal system.

Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate will be released on October 23, 2015 on Xbox One and PS4. In the Ubisoft style, however, PC players will have to wait until a nebulous “Autumn 2015” release that is an unknown date after its initial release on consoles. As I’ve said before, I have my fingers crossed for the quality of the PC port, especially given Ubisoft’s spotty track record.
