Hands On Tiny Tina’s Assault On Dragon Keep

Â

2K and Gearbox are due to release the last DLC for Borderlands 2 on June 25th, entitled Tiny Tina’s Assault On Dragon Keep. We had the chance to play some of this DLC recently and find out what it’s all about. On hand at the event to give us their thoughts on Tiny Tina’s latest adventure were Anthony Burch – Writer ,Paul Hellquist – Creative Director and Steve Gibson – VP, Marketing from Gearbox Software all of whom were an absolute pleasure to meet and chat too. Giving us their thoughts on the new DLC they wanted to create something fresh and exciting for the players, and not just give them more hours of the same old enemies and goals. The team have tons of ideas and things that they would like to add to the Borderlands world, but after chatting to the guys I think this will be the last for Borderlands 2. We might hope that they will put their ideas into action with a Borderlands 3 release on next gen, but who knows!.

Tiny Tina’s Assault On Dragons Keep is basically based around Tina getting some of the vault hunters together for a game of Bunkers & Badasses, in which she is for all intense and purposes is the dungeon master if you like. Starting the campaign sees you arrive at the Unassuming Docks where Tina soon gets to work messing things up for you, and you can hear the characters constantly trying to correct her about the world she is hosting the game in. Tiny Tina’s Assault On Dragons Keep is played in a world never before explored on Pandora with Dragons, Skeletons, Rocks and Trees coming to life as well as Pixies, Wizards and role playing dice to handle. I guess we are getting a look into Tina’s imagination as you play a game about players playing a game set inside a game, now I am getting confused!. Getting back to the DLC we found that it had an engaging story to tell with elements of fantasy and magic thrown in, and to be honest a welcome and fresh break from the norm on Pandora.

Tiny Tina’s Assault On Dragons Keep has witty and funny dialogue between the players as they progress through the story, with some surprises along the way and I can’t wait to play this DLC through when it releases in June. For now to satisfy your thirst we have some footage and screenshots below that will probably give you a better understanding, so get your eyes around them before Tina decides to change the game again and we find ourselves locked up in a dungeon being tortured by midget trees.
