Destiny to Upgrade Exotic

Equipment And Gameplay

So who here still plays Destiny? Don’t lie to me, I know you do. Well at the moment players are grinding to get their respective Guardians to the light level cap of 310 in preparation for the upcoming King’s Fall raid or for kicks.

But it seems that Bungie has snuck (or attempted to sneak) a few new things into the armoury that appears to be that a few Year 1 pieces of armour and weapons are getting the Year 2 treatment.

For Bungie to push light levels up more some of the equipment (most namely Exotics) will be getting an Attack/Armour boost to 330 which is a total increase of 20 over the current max equipment. Nice.

It also appears that ALL of the Exotic Armour is going to be getting this treatment (Not including Class items) so your favourite gear will not need to be replaced, which is good because it cost me a lot of strange coins to get “Don’t Touch Me” from Xurg.

With regards to weapons though I’m afraid I’ll have to disappoint you. Not all weapons will be getting the upgrade (even the year two stuff), so I’ve compiled a list that WILL be getting the 330 boost:

• Monte Carlo
• SUROS Regime
• Zhalo Supercell
• Hawkmoon
• The Last Word – I’m glad this is here because this is my go to weapon
• Bad Juju
• Red Death
• Telesto
• Invective
• The 4th Horseman
• Hereafter
• Thunderlord
• Truth
• Jade Rabbit

Unfortunately weapons such as the Black Spindle, Touch of Malice and Sleeper Simulant wont be part of the upcoming upgrades. Raid gear also seems to be absent from the armoury.

In other news; there are also some new perks to make their debut appearance, shall we:

• Khepri’s Sting will add lingering damage to melee attacks. (Hunter)
• ATS/8 ARACHNID (another Hunter exotic) increases the time you have with your Golden Gun.
• Titans will not be able to make tighter turns while running with the MK. 44 Stand Asides.
• Warlocks will receive some more agility through the Heart of the Praxic Fire.

When full details of the listed upgrades will be available is unknown at the moment, but rest assured when I know, you’ll know.
Love it or loathe it, Destiny has changed greatly compared to last year and it doesn’t seem those changes will stop anytime soon.
